Stance on Five Topics

1. Immigration


The Constitution Party is against illegal immigration and is supportive of stricter border controls. In fact, the party is supportive of the eventual end of all immigration to the United States, with exceptions for extreme cases.

They are against any aid to illegal immigrants, and are opposed to the idea of giving citizenship to children of illegal children even if they are born on U.S. soil. The party also believes in military action to maintain border control and immigration laws.

2. Education

In terms of education, information about their views on college price is not provided.

Generally, they believe in removing any federal interaction from education. They even go as far as wishing to remove the Department of Education in its entirety, believing that education should be left to the parents to regulate and decide. They also wish to take away the No Child Left Behind program.

3. Environment

In terms of environment, the party claims interest in restoring nature by "[turning] deserts into farms and wastelands into groves."

They also reject "the argument of the perceived threat of man-made global warming which has been refuted by a large number of scientists" claiming that "globalists are using the global warming threat to gain more control via worldwide sustainable development."

Lastly, they argue that private property rights outweigh any reason of federal purchase that's not public use. This includes environmental protection as the party believes property rights are more important.

4. Drug Legalization

The Constitution Party as a whole does not state its stance on drug legalization. However, they make it clear that they believe the federal government should not have power to  ban drugs, believing to leave that in state jurisdiction. In short, they wish to get of the the DEA, the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency because power should go to the states.

5. Taxation

The Constitution Party is opposed to taxes. They are against a flat tax and a national sales tax. In fact, they believe that “Congress shall not levy taxes on personal incomes, estates, and/or gifts.”
